Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Executive to manage local and international procurement activities for our copper manufacturing operations. The role involves handling LPOs, imports, supplier coordination, cost control, and ensuring timely availability of raw materials, consumables, and services in line with production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, issue, and track Local Purchase Orders (LPOs) as per approved requisitions. Handle import procurement of copper raw materials, machinery, spare parts, and consumables. Coordinate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and shipping lines. Ensure compliance with INCOTERMS, HS codes, customs documentation, and UAE import regulations. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost optimization. Monitor shipment schedules, follow up on ETD/ETA, and resolve import-related delays. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier data, and cost comparisons. Coordinate closely with production, stores, finance, and logistics teams. Verify invoices against LPOs and GRNs before submission to finance. Support vendor evaluation, onboarding, and performance review.
Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or related field. 1-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in copper, metal, or manufacturing industry. Strong experience in LPO management and import procurement. Knowledge of customs clearance, shipping documents, and international trade. Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Excel, and procurement reporting. Strong negotiation, coordination, and follow-up skills.
Preferred Skills

Experience with copper rods, cathodes, busbars, wires, or metal raw materials. Familiarity with hedging, LME pricing, and cost fluctuation (added advantage). Experience working in UAE/GCC manufacturing setup.
