Our client is one of the leading fabrication companies in the UAE, providing steel fabrication including structural steel and steel plate fabrication services.

We are looking for a Procurement Engineer to join.

Requirements:

• Analyze steel structure drawings and verify quantities from CAD drawings.
• Experience in finalizing subcontractors and material suppliers for steel fabrication projects.
• Coordinate with the Design, Estimation, and Project teams concurrently for multiple projects.
• Finalize contractors and initiate projects in accordance with the permit, BOQ, budget, and drawings, adhering to approved payment terms.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, CAD, and other relevant software.
• Liaise with Project Coordinators, Planning Engineers, Site Engineers, and Stores for daily material and equipment coordination.
• Obtain quotations for materials and machines from different vendors.
• Negotiate terms with vendors and establish long-term mutually beneficial relationships.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and goods.
• Confirm purchase orders, generate LPOs, and liaise with Finance for fund clearance.
• Obtain feedback from stores on material/equipment receipt and quality.
• Assist in monitoring operational costs, preparing statistics, and managing budget variations.
• Track site material consumption and conduct demand planning for each category.
• Enter and monitor data in a computerized system.
• Arrange materials for inspection and certification purposes, managing supplier files/records.
• Conduct regular market research and vendor ratings.
• Prepare and send weekly/monthly/yearly reports to all concerned parties.
• Maintain a strong and updated database of suppliers and subcontractors for steel fabrication projects.
• Negotiate and administer local purchases, hire skilled workers, and manage subcontracted works.
• Oversee stock and materials management.
• Ensure all invoices/bills are pre-approved by cost control and immediate reporting manager.
• Collaborate with the design and projects team to arrange materials for sample board presentations.
• Assist the estimations team in product pricing as needed.
• Ensure all purchases are made subsequent to project-related order confirmations.
• Follow timely and accurate systems to avoid delays in project execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Engineering / Master of Engineering / Diploma
• 3 to 5 years experience in steel Fabrication.
• Exposure in steel fabrication.

Location: Industrial Area #6, Sharjah, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Timings: Sunday - Friday | 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m
