Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Procurement Engineer

to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in managing the procurement process for materials, equipment, and subcontracted services related to MEP or main contracting projects. The role requires strong technical understanding, negotiation skills, and coordination between engineering, site, and supplier teams to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing aligned with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and review material requisitions in coordination with the project and engineering teams. Source and evaluate suppliers, materials, and subcontractors as per technical specifications and project needs. Obtain and analyze quotations, prepare comparative statements, and recommend the most suitable options based on cost, quality, and delivery time. Negotiate with vendors to secure advantageous terms and maintain long-term supplier relationships. Prepare purchase orders and ensure compliance with company policies and contractual requirements. Coordinate with logistics and site teams to monitor delivery schedules and resolve procurement-related issues. Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and material tracking reports. Liaise with project managers, engineers, and accounts for invoice verification and payment processing. Support in vendor prequalification and material submittal processes. Ensure all procurement activities are carried out in compliance with project specifications, company standards, and local regulations.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in

Mechanical

or

Electrical Engineering

1-2 years of experience

as a Procurement Engineer in an

MEP

or

main contracting company

within the UAE. Familiar with

MEP materials

, technical specifications, and procurement procedures. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Proficient in

MS Office

and

ERP systems

(knowledge of SAP/Oracle is a plus). Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure. Knowledge of UAE market and supplier base is an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Based in UAE and available to join immediately or within short notice. Holds a valid UAE driving license (preferred).

Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
