Job Description

The Procurement Engineer will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services required for joinery and interior fit-out projects. The role involves close coordination with the production, estimation, and design teams to ensure timely procurement of quality materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and subcontractors for joinery materials, fittings, hardware, veneers, MDF, paints, and other project requirements. Prepare and issue Request for Quotations (RFQs), evaluate quotations, and prepare comparison sheets for management approval. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure cost-effective procurement. Coordinate with the production and project teams to ensure timely delivery of materials as per project schedules. Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate stock levels in coordination with the store department. Review and verify material specifications, drawings, and BOQs before placing purchase orders. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Maintain and update supplier database and track supplier performance. Handle import/export documentation and logistics (if required). Assist in budget preparation and cost control related to materials procurement.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Civil / Industrial Engineering or related field.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years UAE experience in procurement within a

Joinery or Interior Fit-out factory

.

Technical Knowledge:

Strong understanding of joinery materials, hardware, and accessories. Knowledge of local and international suppliers and material sourcing. Familiarity with AutoCAD drawings and technical specifications (advantageous).

Skills:

Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong analytical and cost comparison skills. Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Candidate:

Candidates currently based in UAE with a valid UAE driving license. Immediate joiners will be given preference.

Pay: AED6,000.00 - AED8,000.00 per month
