To handle end-to-end procurement operations for all materials, equipment, and subcontract services related to construction and interior fit-out projects. The role requires strong negotiation skills, vendor management, technical evaluation capabilities, and an in-depth understanding of construction materials and methods. The ideal candidate will have experience in a contracting company and be capable of ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality procurement in alignment with project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Operations:
o Prepare and float RFQs to vendors/suppliers/subcontractors based on project BOQs and drawings.
o Conduct technical and commercial evaluation of quotations.
o Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings and timely delivery.
o Issue purchase orders and subcontract agreements in coordination with management.
Vendor Management:
o Develop and maintain a strong vendor database for fit-out materials, MEP items, finishing works, joinery, etc.
o Evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, reliability, and compliance.
Coordination & Communication:
o Coordinate closely with Project Engineers, Site Team, and Design Team to ensure material specifications and lead times are met.
o Provide weekly procurement status reports to the General Manager or Managing Partner.
Documentation & Compliance:
o Ensure all procurement processes follow company policy and project-specific requirements.
o Maintain accurate procurement records, delivery notes, and material approvals.
Site & Logistics Coordination:
o Follow up on timely deliveries to site.
o Coordinate with storekeepers and site supervisors for material receiving and verification.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil / mechanical engineering or relevant discipline.
Minimum
3-5 years' experience
in procurement within a
contracting or fit-out company
in the UAE.
Sound knowledge of
construction and fit-out materials
, suppliers, and subcontracting norms in the UAE.
Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems is an advantage.
UAE Driving License is preferred.
