Job Description

The Procurement Officer is responsible for overseeing the procurement activities within the company. They will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing goods and services required for the company's operations. The Procurement Officer will work closely with various departments to ensure that all procurement needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's objectives.
- Identify potential suppliers and conduct thorough evaluations to ensure their suitability.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to obtain the best terms and conditions.
- Monitor and analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement requirements and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including supplier information, contracts, and purchase orders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments to ensure the company remains competitive in the market.
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficient in using procurement software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Familiarity with relevant laws and regulations governing procurement activities.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Professional certification in procurement or supply chain management is a plus.
