We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Procurement Engineer

to join our contracting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, equipment, and services necessary for construction and infrastructure projects. You will collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement that meets technical and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Source and evaluate vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Request, analyze, and compare quotations to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness. Prepare purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure timely arrival of materials. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers and subcontractors. Monitor supplier performance and resolve any supply chain issues. Maintain procurement records, documentation, and reports. Ensure materials comply with project specifications and quality standards. Coordinate with project and site teams for material submittals and approvals. Support cost control and budgeting activities. Assist in developing procurement strategies for current and upcoming projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline). Minimum [5] years of experience as a Procurement Engineer in a contracting or construction company. Strong knowledge of procurement procedures, material sourcing, and vendor management. Familiarity with construction materials, MEP systems, and equipment. Proficient in MS Office and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, ERP systems). Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
