The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in
project procurement
, vendor management, and technical evaluation of equipment and materials. Engineering background is essential for understanding project specifications and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the
end-to-end procurement process
for oil & gas projects, including RFQs, bid evaluations, PO issuance, and delivery follow-up.
Review and interpret
engineering specifications and project requirements
to ensure accurate procurement of materials and equipment.
Coordinate with engineering, project management, and construction teams to meet
project timelines and budgets
.
Identify, qualify, and manage
suppliers and vendors
, especially for gas processing equipment and systems.
Negotiate
terms, pricing, and delivery schedules
with vendors to ensure best value.
Ensure
compliance with project standards
, industry codes, and company procurement procedures.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve procurement-related issues.
Prepare and maintain procurement documentation and reports.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical or similar).
Minimum
10 years of experience
in
procurement
within the
oil & gas industry
.
Proven experience on
gas processing projects
is essential.
Strong understanding of
equipment specifications, materials, and international codes/standards
.
Excellent
negotiation, communication, and organizational
skills.
Familiar with ERP systems and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).
