to manage the sourcing, purchasing, and timely delivery of materials, equipment, and subcontracted services required for our construction and fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge, negotiation skills, and familiarity with local and international suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning & Sourcing
Understand project requirements and BOQs to prepare procurement schedules.
Identify and qualify reliable suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors locally and internationally.
Request, compare, and evaluate quotations for cost, quality, and compliance with specifications.
Purchasing & Negotiation
Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and payment conditions to secure the best value.
Prepare purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements as per company procedures.
Ensure materials and services are delivered on time and in accordance with project timelines.
Coordination & Documentation
Coordinate with engineering, project, and finance teams to ensure smooth procurement flow.
Track orders, resolve delivery issues, and update procurement logs and reports.
Maintain accurate procurement records, approvals, and material submittals.
Vendor & Subcontractor Management
Evaluate supplier performance and maintain an updated vendor database.
Follow up on submittals, shop drawings, and approvals from consultants or clients.
Ensure suppliers meet project quality standards and authority regulations.
Compliance & Cost Control
Monitor budgets and control procurement costs.
Ensure compliance with company policies, ISO standards, and project-specific requirements.
Support tendering by providing cost data and technical input when needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
Minimum
3-5 years
of experience in procurement, preferably in construction, MEP, or fit-out sectors.
Strong understanding of construction materials, systems, and local suppliers.
Proficiency in MS Office, ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP), and procurement software.
Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Experience working with fast-track and high-end projects in the UAE/GCC.
Knowledge of local authority requirements (e.g., ADM, DCD, DEWA, ADDC).
Valid UAE driving license is a plus.
