We are seeking an experienced
Procurement Engineer
with a strong background in consultancy environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement lifecycle across multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services, and aligning procurement strategies with project and client objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute procurement strategies in alignment with project requirements and consultancy standards.
Coordinate with engineering teams, project managers, and clients to define material specifications and technical requirements.
Prepare RFQs, evaluate bids, conduct negotiations, and finalize procurement contracts.
Liaise with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with quality, timeline, and budget expectations.
Maintain and update procurement schedules, reports, and documentation.
Conduct market research and supplier assessments to support competitive sourcing.
Ensure all procurement activities meet contractual, financial, and regulatory standards.
Provide consultancy support to clients regarding material selection, sourcing, and supply chain optimization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of procurement experience, with at least 2 years in an engineering consultancy or EPC environment.
Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract management, and supplier evaluation.
Familiarity with local and international procurement laws and customs regulations.
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills
Membership with professional bodies such as CIPS, PMP, or equivalent is a plus.
Experience with FIDIC contracts and large-scale infrastructure projects.
Fluency in English (Arabic is an advantage).
