Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Procurement Engineer (Fire Protection) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the procurement process, ensuring that all materials and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively. This position requires a strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and the ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers. Familiarity with systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organisational goals. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of materials. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure the best possible agreements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, engineering, and finance to optimise procurement processes. Monitor inventory levels and forecast future material needs based on project requirements. Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout the procurement process. Utilise procurement systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS for tracking orders, managing supplier data, and reporting.

Experience

Proven experience in procurement in Fire protection field is essential. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of successful supplier management. Proficient in using procurement software systems, particularly ERP, SAP and Oracle EBS. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex data sets. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders. A degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is preferred.
