- Research and investigate the scope of work for the preparation of documentation to obtain quotations.
- Compare rates received from tenders for further negotiations to secure the best price.
- Ensure subcontractor/supplier material submittals comply with project specifications.
- Recommend the acceptance of the most suitable supplier/subcontractor to management.
- Follow management approval and issue the Local Purchase Order (LPO).
- Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Negotiate the best payment terms and contract conditions while maintaining a high level of integrity.
- Ensure that all potential suppliers are provided with identical information, giving them an equal opportunity to meet the desired requirements.
- Follow up on related variation orders and submit them for approval to the relevant party.
- Degree in Civil Engineering with some experience in other roles, such as Quantity Surveying or Quality Control.
- Extensive procurement experience in the local and international construction industry market (at least 5 years\' experience in the UAE market).
- Proficient in English communication (written and spoken).
- Proficient in computer skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
