Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, hold a valid UAE driving license, and be willing to relocate to Abu Dhabi. Responsibilities: Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for the organization. Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service criteria. Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and continuously seek new suppliers to expand the vendor network. Negotiation and Contract Management: Conduct negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and contractual agreements. Prepare and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements. Purchase Requisition Processing: Review purchase requisitions, analyze specifications, and determine appropriate procurement methods. Prepare and issue requests for quotation (RFQs) and requests for proposal (RFPs) to potential suppliers. Procurement Process Improvement: Continuously improve procurement processes and procedures to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance supplier performance. Implement best practices in procurement and supply chain management. Budget Management: Monitor procurement budgets, track expenditures, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to provide accurate and timely reports on procurement activities. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure that procured goods and services meet the required standards and specifications. Conduct supplier evaluations and audits as necessary. Inventory Management: Work closely with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and maintain accurate inventory records. Requirements: Education: Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the UAE. Valid UAE Driving License: Possess a valid UAE driving license. Knowledge: Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and techniques. Familiarity with local and international procurement regulations and standards. Technical Skills: Proficient in using procurement software and tools. Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Arabic language skills would be an advantage. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex procurement data, make sound decisions, and negotiate effectively. Relocation: Willingness to relocate to Abu Dhabi, UAE. Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and establish effective relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in managing procurement-related documentation and records.
