Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant for our Abu Dhabi location. The ideal candidate should possess 3-5 years of experience in the manufacturing, factory, import and export, logistics, and chemical industries, in addition to strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for pre-qualifying vendors as per the company requirements.
  • Request for Quotation \xe2\x80\x93 Send Enquiry to suppliers as per our material requirement and receives quotations from the supplier.
  • Do initial negotiation with the supplier and submit to procurement specialist for finalization.
  • Submitting quotations with comparison sheet to procurement specialist for final approval.
  • Track the status of purchase requisitions, purchase order and Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and to resolve shortages, missed or late deliveries.
  • Update the order status to end user as per the agreed delivery date.
  • Supervises the inspection of all material supplies at the time of delivery, services and equipment purchased with end user to ensure conformance with specifications.
  • Receiving invoice from the supplier and forwarding to accounts with all necessary documents and approvals for processing the payment.
  • Informing supplier for the payment or cheque collection once ready from our accounts.
  • Maintaining good relationship with the suppliers.
  • Prepare, maintain and update purchasing files and supplier\xe2\x80\x99s data base.
  • Dynamics AX \xe2\x80\x93 Entering the purchase order in Dynamics AX for local purchase, Import purchase for raw material and for sales order. Receiving invoice in the system after the confirmation from end user for processing the payment.
  • Filling of IMS documents and submit the documents at the time of audit.
  • Responsible for cash purchase and pantry supplies of AOME.
  • Responsible for disposing of scrap and selling of used scarp.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and inventory control
  • Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills
  • Certification in Supply Chain Management (nice to have)
