RESPONSIBILITIES Candidate shall report to Small Projects Engineering Manager / ROO discipline Team Leads and will be an integral member of a multi-discipline Small Project Department.
Candidate\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities shall include: Conducting the Projects discipline engineering verification in accordance with the agreed delivery Plan and annual Schedule
Coordinating with the individuals involved in the verifications so that they know the objectives, scope, schedule, of the verification activities
Consolidation of specific check sheets for the reviews to be conducted, and ensuring comments are returned as per agreed timescales
Document review findings utilising the Check sheet Templates, ensuring the correct code is allocated and comments are clear
Work with leadership personnel accountable and/or ROO accountable management to develop the corrective actions for findings and assist in the identification of due dates and action owners through to closure
Provide feedback to the project verification team leader on how the Assurance programme can be improved
Reporting on the status of corrective actions, used as input to the findings KPIs and performance management
Reviewers carry out the reviews on their peers\xe2\x80\x99 work, including the work of their supervisors and subordinates as per the agreed protocols. They will not be directly involved in the verification of their own work
Provide technical support, as necessary, to Small Projects - Brownfield and Greenfield Development Projects, Construction & Commissioning on all aspects of electrical engineering
Lead, or participate in, conceptual, basic and detailed design activities within Small Projects Team
Provide assurance on engineering compliance with pertinent Standards, Specifications, Codes and Regulations Ensure that non-conformities and temporary deviations are identified, risk assessed and plans are put in place to mitigate risks
Review and approve as necessary, third party engineering deliverables including Basis of Design, Statement of Requirements, Specifications, Scopes of Work, HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations, Design/Construction Drawings, Design calculations, MTOs, design and construction work pack deliverables. Contents to include; Scopes of Work, Design/Construction Drawings, Design calculations, MTOs, Task Hazard Assessments
Provide input to ROO management of change process. For deliverables of in-house and third party engineering
Provide support as necessary to activity planning and progress reporting
HSE inputs to support ROO performance contract including safety audits, Isolation Audits, Safety Observations, Risk assessments, Self- Verifications
Provide input to budget planning and contract technical scope development QUALIFICATIONS
Skills and Experience: BSc or BEng or MEng (UK), BSc (US), or international equivalent in Chemical engineering or relevant engineering subject
Professional accreditation, such as Professional Engineer or Chartered Engineer
Essential experience and job requirements
Relevant industry experience in brownfield Operations engineering environments and operational roles across the full value chain of hydrocarbon production facilities
Candidate to demonstrate familiarity with all relevant industry Process engineering codes, standards, and practices (API, ASME, ISO), and relevant experience with key Process engineering tools such as Aspen HYSYS & Flare System Analyser, Schlumberger Pipesim etc.
Deep technical and operations expertise in several areas related to the discipline
Demonstrated ability to network and influence across organisational boundaries
Comprehensive safety leadership and coaching in all work environments
Analytical capability for the interpretation of uncertain data using appropriate numerical tools
Contract and contractor management and development of performance systems/tools and reporting
Desirable criteria and qualifications
Experienced in the development and delivery of Continuous Improvement projects
Experienced in application of agile methods for scope development and delivery
Key skills include communication, interpersonal relationships, facilitation, influencing, and negotiating
Ability to develop others and foster diverse relationships in a multicultural environment
Ability to identify correct priorities of maintenance and engineering support activities
