Process Engineering Lead - Dubai, UAE
Position Overview
This Process Engineering Lead role directs and supervises all activities within the Process Engineering discipline, providing expert technical guidance to operations and project teams. The position ensures engineering integrity, safe and easy operability of systems, compliance with standards, and timely delivery of technical studies. It also serves as the technical authority for process engineering, supporting major projects, brownfield modifications, and new field developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare performance and progress reports, highlight issues, and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
• Support efforts to achieve and maintain ISO certification for the process section
• Review process and control-related engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractors
• Review designs of systems and equipment to ensure safe and easy operations
• Provide onsite process engineering support during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning
• Serve as the Technical Authority for process engineering, mediating technical disputes
• Develop and authorize key engineering documents such as philosophies, policies, and design basis
• Support the ongoing development of process engineering standards, codes of practice, and specifications
• Identify and recommend new technologies and innovations that can improve business performance
• Ensure process engineering participation in HSE studies and workshops

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent discipline
• 8 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, EPC deliverables, and project execution processes
• Hands-on experience with construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages
• Strong technical leadership and decision-making abilities
• Ability to develop engineering standards and ensure technical consistency across projects
• Familiarity with HSE-driven studies and process safety requirements
