Job Summary

The Print Shop Assistant will support the daily operations of the print shop by helping with

printing, finishing, and preparation

of various print materials. This role also includes assisting customers, preparing job orders, and maintaining an organized workspace.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in

printing, cutting, laminating, and finishing

printed materials (e.g., business cards, flyers, stickers, t-shirts, etc.) Prepare materials and operate basic printing equipment (digital printers, heat press, plotter, etc.) Support the design team with

file setup

and

print-ready checks

. Handle

customer inquiries

, take orders, and coordinate with the design/production team. Pack, label, and prepare finished products for delivery or pickup. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the print and finishing area. Track consumables and report when materials (paper, inks, vinyl, etc.) need replenishment. Follow company quality standards and ensure every job meets client expectations.

Requirements

Prior experience in a

print shop, signage, or advertising company

preferred (training will be provided). Basic knowledge of

printing processes and materials

(digital, offset, large-format, etc.) is an advantage. Comfortable using or learning

printing, lamination, and cutting machines

. Attention to detail and quality -- able to check prints for alignment, color accuracy, and finish. Basic computer skills; familiarity with

Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop / CorelDRAW

is a plus. Good communication and teamwork skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and work efficiently under deadlines.

Preferred Skills (Optional):

Experience with

heat press, sublimation, vinyl cutting

, or

laser engraving

. Knowledge of

signboard materials

(acrylic, ACP, vinyl). Driving license (for deliveries or errands) is a plus.
