Review and interpret project scopes, specifications, contracts, and schedules. Identify scope changes or contractual clarifications; raise change notifications and prepare cost/time estimates. Generate and manage technical queries to secure missing data or clarify deliverables. Prepare estimates for bid proposals, workhour estimates, identifying software requirements and any other project-specific requirements Detailed Design & Analysis Prepare, review, and approve Discipline engineering design basis, philosophies, and technical specifications Participate in finalizing deliverables lists and deliverables, ensuring compliance with specifications and functional integrity Provide technical direction and review of Pipeline drawings. Prepare, review and approve design reports and procedures Assist in providing necessary design inputs to other disciplines to enable them to proceed with their deliverables Perform, review, and approve the following designs, analyses, and evaluations for pipelines and their components: Wall thickness designs On-bottom stability analyses Free-span analysis Pipeline expansion and rigid riser stress analyses using finite element analysis (FEA) tools Bottom roughness evaluations Pipeline local and global buckling mitigation designs Multidisciplinary Coordination Interface with civil, mechanical, structural, subsea, planning, fabrication, and marine teams to ensure clash-free, constructible designs. Participate in kickoff, design-review, vendor, and offshore-survey meetings; document key decisions and distribute action items. Provide design inputs to other disciplines and integrate their feedback into pipeline deliverables. Prepare, review, and approve requisitions, bid tabulations, and technical-quotation evaluations. Coordinate with Procurement to expedite vendor documents; update weight and material reports upon receipt of vendor data. Review and approve vendor/subcontractor submittals for compliance with project specifications. Quality Assurance & Compliance Lead single-discipline and inter-discipline checks (IDCs) and MOR Global technical-quality audits. Ensure all deliverables meet company standards, client requirements, and recognized codes (ASME, API, DNV). Capture lessons learned and update the knowledge-management database. Reporting & Documentation Maintain detailed records of substantive communications, decisions, and design changes. Provide regular status updatesaEUR"technical progress, budget tracking, and manpower forecastsaEUR"to Discipline and Project Management. Assist in preparation of progress reports, productivity analyses, and KPI dashboards. Mentor and supervise junior engineers on calculation methods, software tools, and MOR procedures. Identify training needs, develop technical workshops, and guide the team through design challenges. Support recruitment and performance-evaluation processes for pipeline-engineering roles. Qualifications & Experience BacheloraEUR(TM)s in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree (M.Tech) preferred. 18+ yearsaEUR(TM) hands-on pipeline-engineering experience with offshore projects. Proven expertise in detailed design, FEA tools (ANSYS/Abaqus, Caesar II), and pipeline-integrity software. Deep knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME B31.3/B31.8, API 5L. API 6D, DNVstandards ( DNV-ST-F101, DNV-RP-F103, DNV-RP-F105, DNV-RP-F106, DNV-RP-F107, DNV-RP-F108, DNV-RP-F109, DNV-RP-F110, DNV-ST-F201).
