Job Summary Operates as a technical leader in major regional projects and global initiatives, planning and setting priorities. Proactively develops new tools, technologies and profiles for regional teams. A mentor for junior flavorists.

- Recognized as a technical expert and leader in the technical community.
- Strengthens ingredient and process knowledge, inside and outside IFF.
- Understands competition capabilities, define IFF gaps to Category.
- Promotes IFF technology and capability within the C&D team.
- Manages and resolves key technical challenges with appropriate resources.
- Detailed knowledge of global R&D scope, projects and timelines.
- Strong understanding of global capabilities, effective global network.
- Defines gaps in portfolio and technologies to meet consumer needs progression.
- Represents IFF on senior projects to regional customers (Commercial only).
- Proven artistic ability and commercial success
- Actively transmits knowledge and experience regionally and globally
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Proven artistic ability and success at improving profitability
- Possesses good knowledge of 10 Flavor classes of which 6 flavor classes achieves advanced level and 4 flavor classes at expert level
- Consistent track records of commercial success with global impact for continuously 5 years
- Globally recognized as Subject Matter Expert for at least 1 Flavor Class
- Imparts knowledge to next generation talents
- Requirements:
- Minimum entry level is a science degree (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, etc.), preferably a Masters degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Food Engineering and/or Chemistry Engineering
- Promoted from senior flavorist in IFF or equivalent with competitor
- Recognized as a technical expert and leader in the technical community
- Has spent 1525 years in flavor creation (preferably 10 years within IFF)
