JOB TITLE: Principal Engineer – Instrument
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Should instantly resolve the site queries with respect to hardware and software.
- Develop Instrument Specifications wherever new Instruments are to be procured.
- Should interact with Analyser vendors for troubleshooting.
- Should initiate Procurement activities (FMR/LMSR/PR Generation).
- Should carry out technical reviews of bids submitted by various vendors.
- Should review Vendor Documentation.
- Should initiate Design Change following Company’s MOC procedure.
- Provide site support as part of Field Engineering.
- Initiate Software Change Notifications in FCS/IPS systems (Yokogawa System).
- Inter-discipline coordination activities and participation in Model reviews.
- Participate in Safety reviews like HazOp, IPF reviews, SIL reviews and Alarm management workshops.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Prior working experience with PDO Projects preferred.
- A minimum of 15 to 20 years of relevant experience - preferrably in a Lead position.
- Should have relevant field experience (Sour facility with H2S risk), with familiarity to PDO Site Safety standards and requirements.
- Should be familiar with Shell DEPs and application of the same.
- Sound knowledge in Instrument Specifications and selection of Instrument.
- Should have some experience in handling Analysers / coordinating with Analyser Vendors.
- Capable of handling Instrumentation Procurement activities (FMR/LMSR Generation, Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE).
- Possess experience in Vendor Documentation Review.
- Familiar with FCS/IPS systems.
