Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full design and approval process for dry utility systems including HV, MV, and LV networks, substations, and telecom infrastructure.
• Oversee master planning, concept, and detailed design for electrical utilities and urban infrastructure.
• Develop and review demand load calculations, grid station layouts, and tie-in point requirements.
• Ensure designs meet UAE authority standards (DEWA, RTA, DM, ADM, ADDC, and QCC).
• Design and review street lighting networks, load schedules, and SLDs for road corridors and public spaces.
• Manage the design of telecom ducts, manholes, and corridor coordination with other services.
• Provide technical leadership across dry utility disciplines and ensure seamless integration with roads, wet utilities, landscape, and transportation teams.
• Conduct quality reviews, risk assessments, and ensure safety and compliance in all design deliverables.
• Mentor electrical engineers and CAD teams, fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, and authorities to obtain design approvals and resolve technical issues.
• Lead design presentations, workshops, and progress meetings.
• Support business development, bid preparation, and proposal submissions.
• Utilize BIM and digital tools including Civil 3D, Navisworks, ProjectWise, and ETAP for design and coordination.

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Minimum 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with 5+ years focused on dry utilities design and planning in the UAE or GCC.
• Proven leadership experience in managing electrical design teams on complex infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of local authority standards and utility regulations (RTA, DEWA, DM, ADM, ADDC, etc.).
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, ETAP, Amtech, Dialux, and BIM tools.
• Demonstrated experience in HV/MV/LV system design, grid station planning, and utility corridor coordination.
• Excellent technical reporting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) certification preferred.
