Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Engineer to lead and manage our Coastal Modelling team in the Middle East. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of coastal modelling projects and providing technical expertise to support the team\'s operations.


Requirements:

  • Lead and manage the Coastal Modelling team in the Middle East, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality projects and meeting client expectations.
  • Develop and execute project plans for coastal modelling projects, including feasibility studies, conceptual design, numerical modelling, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Provide technical expertise in coastal engineering and modelling to support the team\'s operations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies and tools to improve the team\'s capabilities and deliverables.
  • Mentor and train junior staff members to develop their technical and professional skills.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards in all projects and activities.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Coastal Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in coastal engineering and modelling, with a proven track record of successfully managing and delivering large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of numerical modelling software, including MIKE, Delft3D, or SWAN.
  • Experience in the application of coastal modelling for design and analysis of coastal structures, sediment transport, and environmental impact assessment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English, with additional knowledge of Arabic being a plus.
