Main purpose of role:
Principal Engineer, Assurance will support the Assurance Manager in ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance across all project phases. This role will involve coordinating assurance activities, facilitating communication between project teams, and assisting in the implementation of quality management systems. Principal Engineer, Assurance will contribute to the company\'s commitment to delivering projects with exceptional quality and adherence to industry standards.
Responsibilities:
Support the Assurance Manager in the development and implementation of assurance strategies, plans, and procedures.
Develop Value Assurance dashboard for all stage gates and reviews framework.
Coordinate and schedule quality audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
Facilitate communication between project teams, ensuring the smooth flow of information related to assurance activities.
Assist in the maintenance of quality management systems, including document control, revision control, and access management.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to address project concerns and implement corrective actions.
Contribute to the review and development of project documentation, including quality plans, procedures, and inspection and test plans.
Assist in the analysis of project performance indicators and quality metrics, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions.
Participate in lessons learned sessions, capturing best practices and contributing to the continuous improvement of assurance processes.
Support the training and development of project teams regarding quality management systems and assurance processes.

Knowledge & Qualifications:
University degree qualification
Experience in project controls (cost & progress)
Project management qualifications (engineering or otherwise) will be beneficial.
Experience in risk assessment and management, including the ability to identify and prioritize risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
Experience in using @risk and risk profile analysis.
Experience in developing dashboards to the senior management.
Good understanding of Petrofac group, business, and service lines
Fluent with Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project & PowerBI
Skills:
Strong organisational and project management skills, planning and time management. Ability to deliver against tight deadlines and work with a potentially diverse and dispersed team to deliver outputs to the necessary quality standards and schedule. Attention to detail is critical to succeed in this role.
Communication: the ability to prepare written communications for senior stakeholder is key \xe2\x80\x93 and the facility to present these communications to different audiences will also be critical. In addition to, the ability to communicate and build a rapport with personnel from entry level all the way through to the Group Executive Committee
Collaboration: adept at collaborative working; ability to collaborate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders within both the technical and corporate functions
Familiarity with governance processes \xe2\x80\x93 Knowledge and understanding of Project management governance, principles, and processes.

Experience:
Demonstrable previous project management experience in operations
Prior experience of leading the structuring, analysis and presentation of outputs for senior stakeholders is essential.
Previous Petrofac experience with a solid track record of career progression including at least one managerial role.
A good understanding of how Petrofac operates as a company highly beneficial.
