Key Accountabilities

Lead and be responsible for the successful delivery of a wide range of infrastructure projects involving HV, MV, LV, ELV systems Dry utilities, Utility corridors and Substation design, including production of technical reports, written calculations, design briefs, specifications, drawings, schedules, contract documentation and the like.

Accountable & Responsible for ensuring technical quality, coordination, integrity, cost effectiveness, and profitability of designs produced.

Follow design guidelines, standards, and procedures to effectively execute assigned work.

Interface with other members of the design and management team on multiple discipline projects including with the Global Delivery Centres when required.

Prepare and adhere to assigned budgets and schedules, integrate team efforts, review work, set priorities, identify and resolve issues in a timely manner and communicate status to the Project Manager.

Prepare technical and commercial proposals.

Technical supervision of project designated junior Engineers and draftsmen in the execution of their duties.

Mentor junior members of staff and assist to promote career development within the group.

Check compliance with QA/Safety/Environment goals.

Quality Assurance \xe2\x80\x93 Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Worley Quality Management System.

Safety \xe2\x80\x93 Responsible for personal safety and implementing safe working practices.

HSE \xe2\x80\x93 Understand and follow OH&S procedures.

Perform electrical engineering services such as:

o participate in relevant meetings, prepare progress reports and follow required checking procedures

o ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes

provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions, conduct technical bid evaluations and write purchase orders.

• Preparing and reviewing the production of detailed deliverables such as: drawings, specifications, scopes of work, calculations, technical reports, datasheets, tender documentation, requisitions, estimates, budgets and schedules for scope variation and technical queries
• Conducting appropriate studies/optioneering of solutions, analyses and recommendation of suitable actions

Undertaking and/or reviewing protection coordination, arc flash hazard assessments and defining mitigating solutions

Undertaking tender bid evaluations

Providing input and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities

Reviewing vendor documentation and checking interfaces within a brownfield infrastructure project.

Prepare documentation for and participate in project design reviews, HAZIDs/HAZOPs and safety in design workshops as required.

Where required, prepare or assist in the preparation of project documentation such as budgets, estimates, forecasts, schedules, and reports.

Responsible for ensuring technical quality, coordination, integrity and cost effectiveness of designs produced.

Interface with other members of the design and management team on multiple discipline projects including with the Global Delivery Centres when required.

Assist in the preparation of technical and commercial proposals.

Qualifications

Qualifications

Experienced in dealing with a variety of clients including developers, government bodies and EPC Contractors.

Expert in the use of industry software.

Identify and evaluate new technology advancements against existing methods and, revise where applicable, to provide more effective solutions.

Expert Experience in Industrial Infrastructure sector (Preference in the water sector)

Expert Experienced with British, European and International standards and other construction practices.

Heavy Experience in a consulting engineering environment over the whole lifecycle of a project including concept, FEED and Detailed Design (Must Requirement).

Experienced in the design of a range of

• Dynamic system studies.
• Experience with earthing analysis software, CDEGs (desirable)
• Experience with system study software package DIgSILENT PowerFactory
• Experience with system study software packages such as ETAP and Power*Tools for Windows.
• Delivering electrical detailed design of switchgear, MCCs and LV switchboards.
• Electrical calculations required for design.
• Preparing design drawings including SLDs, schematics, terminations ad general arrangements.
• Preparing ITPs, MTOs, datasheets, specifications, methodologies, procurement and construction scope of works.
• Power systems modelling and analysis for HV and LV electrical systems, protection setting coordination and arc flash analysis
• Protection, earthing, arc-flash and lightning systems studies

Site experience, equipment inspections, testing and commissioning

Competent in the evaluation of the condition of assessment of existing brownfield industrial projects

Job Specific Experience:

Experience in a wide range of industrial infrastructure projects.

Preference will be given to candidates with:

Dubai Municipality registration & DEWA registration highly desirable

Experience working in the Middle East.

Experience in industrial infrastructure projects. (Non Urban buildings or MEP)

Experience in Water Industry Projects- Desalination / Waste water plants - Major Pumping Stations - Port and harbour projects.Experience working in the Middle East.

Experience as a Design Coordinator or Engineering Manager on large multi-disciplinary design projects.
