Position Overview
Principal Drainage Engineer Design role in Dubai leading complex drainage and stormwater engineering for civil and transport infrastructure projects at Parsons Corporation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead civil and transport infrastructure drainage design for complex projects
• Perform detailed analysis and review of hydrological and hydraulic models
• Provide technical expertise for drainage and stormwater quality systems including piped networks and major transverse drainage structures
• Deliver hydraulic and system designs tailored to site-specific requirements
• Apply biological and physical stormwater management principles in design solutions
• Introduce innovative approaches, digital delivery methods, and value engineering solutions
• Supervise, mentor, and support intermediate and junior engineers
• Undertake hydrologic modeling, calculations, drawings, reports, design reviews, and supervision
• Lead projects with high accountability, build strong client relationships, and obtain design approvals
• Coordinate closely with CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling teams to ensure integrated delivery

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Hydraulic, or Environmental Engineering
• Minimum 15 years of experience in water engineering, including stormwater drainage design for civil and transport projects
• Minimum 9 years of regional experience with strong familiarity with Dubai Municipality standards
• Demonstrated leadership experience on complex drainage and infrastructure projects
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver within defined timelines

Skills Set

• Strong knowledge of hydrology and hydraulics principles
• Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools including SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and Infoworks ICM 1D and 2D
• Advanced capability with GIS and CAD tools such as ArcMap, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation
• Strong mathematical skills for developing calculation sheets and validating designs
• Knowledge of Water Sensitive Design and Sustainable Drainage Systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and mentor engineers
