jellyfish/biota transport

scenarios with and without marine barriers, perform

oil-spill trajectory

simulations and recommend

barrier/deflection strategies

. Own method statements, schedule, delivery quality, and client technical interface.

Key Responsibilities

Select, configure, and

calibrate 2D/3D hydrodynamic models

(e.g., Delft3D, MIKE 21/3, ROMS, TELEMAC, ADCIRC) including tides, waves, winds, and density effects. Implement

Lagrangian/particle tracking

for jellyfish/biota transport; test barrier effectiveness and alternative layouts. Set up

oil-spill fate & transport

scenarios (e.g., OpenDrift/NOAA GNOME or equivalent) and propose deflection/containment plans. Define data needs; ingest and QC

bathymetry, met-ocean, ADCP

, satellite/reanalysis datasets; manage model skill assessment. Produce

technical reports, figures, GIS layers

model calibration/validation

expertise; skill metrics and uncertainty analysis. Proficiency with one or more stacks:

Delft3D / MIKE 21/3 / ROMS / TELEMAC / ADCIRC

,

SWAN/WAVEWATCH III

,

OpenDrift/GNOME
