Job Description
As part of our regional growth plans, we are currently looking for a Principal Architect (Design Focused) to join the Concept design team in Dubai, UAE Requirements
- B.Arch or B.Sc in Architecture.
- Minimum 15 years post qualification experience (with minimum 5 years in UAE)
- Be a registered member of an accredited RIBA or ARB
- Proficiency in: Rhino, Sketchup, 3dmax, Revit, Auto Cad, Photoshop.
- Talent and experienced in Leading the design process during the concept/ Schematic designs stages
- Experience of working in a recognised global/ design offices
- Capable of leading large scale projects in Hospitality, Mixed use, Residential, commercial and High rise.
- Excellent design and technical capabilities
- Strong leadership/ mentoring skills
- Self motivated and able to take responsibility
- Flexible attitude and works well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
- Excellent organisational skills
- Able to build good relationships at all levels internally and externally
- Resilient to cope with conflicting demands, able to prioritise duties and work effectively under pressure while remaining calm and professional at all times.
- Ability to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion
- Ability to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project
- Developed architectural design skills and understanding of the design process and interfaces between design disciplines.

- Developed knowledge of Sustainable Design principles.
- Ability and will to mentor and provide support to junior staff members and spread knowledge across the wider architectural community.
- Ability and will to update knowledge.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken). Arabic language skills / proficiency is an added value.
- Coordinate and lead the assigned team of 6-10 Architects on a day to day basis and ensure that design excellence is achieved throughout.
- Develop a thorough design philosophy, effectively contributing to the inception and the development of a project.
- Lead the design work ensuring project objectives are met, design instructions are implemented and delivery is achieved within the set time and budget.
- Responsible for the correctness, accuracy and complete multi-disciplinary coordination of the design documentation prepared by the assigned team.
- Coordinate and develop responses to review comments, tender queries, contractor’s queries, etc.
- Responsible, for the preparation and compilation of design presentations and design reports.
