Job Summary:

Raytheon’s Office of General Counsel is seeking a pro-active, high performing Paralegal to join the law department for Raytheon MENA Group, located in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The Paralegal will report to the General Counsel for Raytheon Emirates and Raytheon Saudi Arabia and support lawyers and other professional staff specializing in international transactions and contract negotiations, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Coordinate the drafting, review, execution, and notarization or attestation of documents related to Middle East North Africa (MENA) legal entities
  • Maintain compliance with filing deadlines and requirements and ensure filings are timely made.
  • Support all other governance matters and management of legal entities and branches, including the preparation of powers of attorney and other legal documents for apostille and legalization processing.
  • Provide support for board meetings through drafting and circulating board resolutions, preparing meeting minutes and capturing board actions.
  • Maintain entity governance records and timely updates to entity management database. Manage entity formations and dissolutions in region, including coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Stay abreast of new laws and changes to existing laws that impact our operations and be able to provide a comprehensive analysis of those impacts to the business.
  • Work closely with a team of attorneys and business professionals to support legal matters for the operations of our MENA business, including our transactions, ethics and compliance matters, data privacy, human resources and immigration, mitigation plan implementation, and due diligence.
  • Assisting internal clients with preparation and review of Business Courtesy Requests and Conflict of Interest documentation.
  • Support drafting and management of relevant regional legal policies and procedures.
  • Provide first level of review of Proprietary Information Agreements.
  • Support MENA ethics and compliance matters and investigations, as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Serve as data privacy point of contact and Data Controller for MENA legal entities.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pre-Law, Paralegal Studies, Applied Legal Studies or equivalent and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience OR in absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required.
  • At least five years of in-house legal, law firm, or other applicable experience
  • Experience with managing and prioritizing multiple tasks and support complicated projects in a team environment.
  • Experience working with Microsoft tools (including Outlook, Sharepoint, Skype, Powerpoint, Word) and other database systems.
  • Fluency in English
