About the role As a Pre-Sales (Solutions) Engineer at NLYTE Software (a Carrier company), you will mainly focus on supporting the general sales of software and professional services operations of the company and on the ongoing support and satisfaction of existing customers. Requirements We are looking for people who are self-motivated and have demonstrated strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills. If this is you, get in touch. As a minimum you must have:

• Experience in a data centre or ITSM role \xe2\x80\x93 must understand the technology behind the effective delivery of data centre services and know how to support a service delivery model
• Experience with understanding technical requirements, explain solutions guidelines and driving teams towards target delivery dates.
• Working knowledge of, and proficiency in Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and/or facilities management.
• Working knowledge of, and proficiency in ITSM, CMDB, and discovery technologies
• Knowledge of Windows Server, SQL, IIS, and VMWare,
• Strong knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS), and Enterprise Management System (EMS)

Although not necessary, it would be nice if you have:

• Understanding of MS Reporting services and other reporting software
• Familiarity with industry protocols like MODBus, Bacnet, SNMP, etc.
• Prior experience with data centre builds, datacentre operations, virtualization of server and storage platforms, cloud computing, capacity planning, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and ITIL

Responsibilities As a Pre-Sales (Solutions) Engineer, you\xe2\x80\x99ll be responsible for:

• Working with sales team to identify, cultivate, and close sales opportunity
• Present product Demonstrations, proof of concepts, and product presentation
• Technical responsibilities that may include: problem identification, systems architecture definition, hardware/software specification, design, implementation, testing, client training and solution deployment.
• Manage customer interactions and engagement, including project scoping, Statement of Work development, deliverable documentation and follow-up.
• Maintain working proficiency in nlyte Software products and technologies through self-directed and formal training.
