Position:

Pre-Sales Design & Estimation Engineer

The Pre-Sales Design & Estimation Engineer is responsible for designing technical solutions, preparing cost estimations, and supporting the sales team in proposing accurate and competitive security and ELV system solutions. The role ensures all proposals comply with project specifications, SIRA requirements, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities1. Pre-Sales Support

Provide technical support to the sales team during client meetings, presentations, and proposal discussions. Review client requirements, RFPs, and tender documents to prepare accurate solutions. Conduct site surveys, identify system requirements, and propose suitable ELV/CCTV solutions.

2. System Design & Engineering

Design CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, Intrusion Alarm, Intercom, PA/BGM, SMATV, and other ELV systems as per project needs. Prepare system architecture diagrams, schematic drawings, layout plans, and equipment schedules. Ensure all designs meet UAE regulations,

SIRA standards

, and international best practices. Collaborate with the design team and project engineers to finalize detailed design packages.

3. Estimation & Costing

Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and technical proposals based on tender documents. Perform material take-off, evaluate engineering requirements, and calculate costs for labor, materials, and equipment. Analyze quotations from suppliers/OEMs and select cost-effective options that meet technical requirements. Develop price comparisons, estimation sheets, and bid summaries.

4. Proposal & Documentation

Prepare technical submittals, compliance statements, and method statements. Draft proposal documents, including scope of work, specifications, exclusions, and assumptions. Coordinate with procurement and suppliers for updated price lists and technical datasheets.

5. Client & Stakeholder Coordination

Support the sales team in client presentations, demos, and solution discussions. Address client queries and provide clarifications for tender submissions. Work closely with project, commercial, and procurement teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility.

6. Quality & Compliance

Ensure all proposed solutions comply with SIRA, Civil Defense, DEWA, Etisalat/Du standards, and project specifications. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ELV technologies, new products, and market trends. Ensure documentation accuracy and timely submission of proposals.

Required Skills & QualificationsEducation & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications / Engineering. 2-5 years of experience in

ELV / Security / ICT Pre-Sales Design & Estimation

. Experience handling

CCTV/SIRA-compliant systems

is preferred. Previous experience in tendering and pre-sales engineering.

Technical Skills

Strong understanding of ELV systems: CCTV, Access Control, ACS, PABX, Intercom, IPTV, PA/BGM, SMATV, IDS. Ability to design structured cabling using industry standards (TIA/EIA, ISO). Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, Visio, and estimation tools. Knowledge of SIRA standards, Civil Defense approval process, and project regulations.
