Job Overview: CB&I® is the most experienced and the only worldwide builder and designer of industrial storage products and facilities. Headquartered in the Houston, Texas, CB&I has the global expertise and strategically located operations to provide engineering, procurement and construction solutions for our customers' most complex energy projects. The Principal Project Accountant is responsible for reflecting the monthly project progress and development into financial figures and involve in the monthly forecast process and reporting thereof. Provide insight of the project costs and optimizing the project gross profit, working with Project Teams on improving Project Working Capital and associated procedures. This role requires solid project management capability and a strong understanding of US GAAP Accounting. The role reports to the Project Finance Manager and have exposure and interaction with Area Head of Finance and their teams.

Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual Project financial reporting packages to Project Finance Manager and Local Area Finance Head. Identify opportunities to streamline processes, document procedures and interface within the Area. Develop financial models to enhance key reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes. Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for P&L and Cashflow improvements. Coordinate and prepare ad-hoc assignments on a monthly basis for management review. Lead the development of the group for the team. Perform and review group controls in accordance with our internal standards. Coordinate and manage the CB&I business combined audit with external auditor. Responsible for the review, maintenance, and updating of CMS finance procedures.

Essential Qualifications and Education: 8-13 years of total relevant accounting experience. Qualified Accounting Degree with a Professional Certification in Accounting or Finance required. Strong working knowledge of US GAAP accounting and reporting standards. Intermediate to advanced PC Skills: Excel and PowerPoint required. Hyperion HFM and Smartview experience is preferred. JDE and Essbase experience is a plus.
