The Energy, Water, and Sustainable Environment Research Center at the American University of Sharjah (AUS) - College of Engineering, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic researcher to fill a Postdoctoral Researcher position in the Center.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate extensive knowledge and experience in one or more of the following areas:
Renewable energy systems
Energy conversion and storage
Water resource management
Water sustainable environmental practices.
Sustainable cities and infrastructures
Qualifications and Skills Required
The applicant needs to have obtained a PhD in related engineering or other closely related disciplines. Also, she/he needs to have the following qualifications:
Proven ability in conducting high-level research in the fields of energy, water, or sustainable environment. This includes a deep understanding of relevant methodologies, data analysis, and simulation techniques.
Demonstrated experience in preparing and writing research proposals.
A history of publishing in top-tier journals within the relevant fields.
Solid background in mathematical modeling and analysis, particularly as applied to energy systems, water resource management, or environmental sustainability.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Excellent oral and written English communication skills are mandatory.
A strong foundation in conducting research related to these fields is essential.
