Job Description
The department of Chemical Engineering in collaboration with the department of Biology, Chemistry, and Environmental Sciences at the American University of Sharjah are seeking to hire a postdoc research associate to work with Prof. Oussama El-Kadri on the development of porous materials (polymers, MOFs, COFs\xe2\x80\xa6etc) for hydrogen storage application. Ideal applicants should be self-motivated and independent researcher with strong background in the all aspects of porous materials chemistry, including synthesis, characterization.

Job Responsibilities
- Conduct all experimental work related to the project
- Produce monthly reports and help in writing manuscripts
- Provide occasional lab supervision to shadowing undergraduate students
- Adhere to laboratory safety rules
- PhD degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science.
- Proven skills in chemical synthesis and preparation of polymers and/or porous material.
- Strong skills in characterization techniques and operating instruments such as BET surface area measurements, SEM, TGA, etc.
