Job Description
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to contribute to research in Multi-Messenger Astrophysics (MMA), with a particular emphasis on Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs). The successful candidate will engage in evaluating and enhancing current MMA detection and observational strategies. Additionally, the role involves refining models of GRBs and kilonovae (KNe) to improve their alignment with observational data and detection methodologies. This work will be conducted in close collaboration with senior scientists involved in the project.
The Postdoctoral Fellow is expected to develop and deliver enhanced, thoroughly tested numerical detection tool packages. Additionally, the fellow will be expected to prepare manuscripts that are near submission-ready, contributing to the advancement of research in Multi-Messenger Astrophysics.

Job Responsibilities
- Reviewing and improving elements of the current MMA detection and observational strategies where enhancements are possible. This will be done in close collaboration with the senior scientists on the project.
- Improving GRB and KN models in relation to observational and detection research.
- Participating in the international GRANDMA collaboration in conducting follow-up observations and data analysis.
- Assisting in the preparation of publications and presentations of research findings and results.
- Helping mentor and supervise AUS students involved in the project.
- Strong record of writing scientific papers, responding to reviewers, and participating in conferences.
- PhD in High-Energy Astrophysics, obtained within the last few years.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an international research environment.
- Excellent communication skills and strong professional relationships with supervisors, staff, and students.
- Strong competency in gamma-rayxe2x80x94or more broadly, high-energyxe2x80x94astrophysics; experience in modeling (or at least familiarity with various models), and solid knowledge of observational techniques, data, and analysis.
