Job Description

A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, College of Science, at UAE University. The position is supported by the AUA-UAEU joint research grant "Hulls of linear codes". The appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year. The compensation package includes a monthly tax-free salary of AED 9,000-10,000 (commensurate with qualifications and experience), medical insurance, and an air ticket. The research will focus on the study of hulls of linear codes, linear complementary dual codes, and linear complementary pairs of codes, along with their applications in computer science, cryptography, and quantum information theory. Candidates should have a strong background in algebra, finite geometry, or combinatorics. Applicants are required to provide one recommendation letter. The postdoctoral researcher will work under the supervision and guidance of the PI.



Minimum Qualification



PhD in Mathematics or Computer Science



Preferred Qualification



The candidate is expected to have a solid background in finite fields theory, algebra or finite geometry, and is expected to have interest in algebraic coding theory.



Expected Skills



Candidate is expected to have background in Mathematics and its applications. Proficiency in English required (written and oral)
