The Industry 4.0 District is a flagship initiative by UAE University, aimed at transforming research and education to align with the vision of becoming the University of the Future. The district is home to five key laboratories: the Smart Digital Factory, Cognitive, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Laboratory (CAIR) Fabrication Lab (Fab-lab) Materials Library App Factory, all of which are designed to integrate Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) technologies into academic and applied research. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to support the research, development, and implementation of Industry 4.0 technologies and strategies within the District. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing projects, foster collaboration with industry partners, and help bridge the gap between research and practical industrial applications. Key Responsibilities Conduct advanced research in areas related to Industry 4.0 such as IoT, AI, additive manufacturing, robotics, or smart systems. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support national and regional Industry 4.0 initiatives. Assist in designing and executing pilot projects and proof-of-concept demonstrations using District labs and resources. Support the development of research proposals and contribute to securing external funding. Engage in technology transfer, publication of high-impact research, and patent generation. Organize and participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to disseminate knowledge and build partnerships. Assist in evaluating the performance and impact of District activities using appropriate KPIs. Minimum Qualification
A Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, or a related discipline. Research experience in Industry 4.0 technologies such as AI, IoT, automation, digital manufacturing, or cyber-physical systems.
