Responsible to ensure smooth and safe movement of patients from one location to another purely based on the instruction of the designated medical staff / supervisor. Also facilitates
movement of files and supplies from one department to another
Responsibilities:

• Always maintain patient safety and confidentiality.
• Apply policies, procedures, and guidelines related to minimizing the spread of infection through the appropriate use of infection prevention in the work environment.
• Works in collaboration with team members for equipment preparation prior to surgery and replacement after surgery.
• Assists with the transport of patients, notes, specimens, investigations, and other work-related objects safely and effectively.
• Assists in moves and positions patients, equipment, and other related objects within scope of practice safely and effectively according to rules and regulations.
• Organize stock requirements for gas cylinder, linen, disposable, and non-disposable items,
• Maintaining an inventory of items and storing items safely in a designated area according to health and safety regulations.
• Reports adverse events, incidents, errors, malfunctioning equipment and near misses to registered practitioners.
• Reports any untoward incident or accident on the hospital premises involving a patient, visitor, or staff member
