The ideal candidate will be skilled in dough preparation, hand-stretching techniques, and cooking porattas to achieve the correct texture, layers, and taste while maintaining hygiene and efficiency in the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook poratta with consistent quality and taste.
Handle dough preparation, resting, layering, and hand-stretching techniques.
Ensure proper texture, softness, and flakiness of porattas.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area and equipment.
Manage mise en place and ensure timely preparation during service hours.
Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations.
Minimize food wastage and follow portion control standards.
Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Poratta (Parotta) Maker in restaurants.
Strong knowledge of traditional preparation methods.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
Good understanding of food hygiene and safety practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in restaurants, hotels, or catering kitchens.
GCC experience is an added advantage.
