Pool Lifeguard
Job Description
Lifeguards are responsible for the health, safety and welfare of everyone using the community swimming pools.
Major responsibilities including but are not limited to observing swimmers and enforcing regulations in guarding life and prevention of accidents.
Reports to the Pools Supervisor or any other individual assigned by the Pools Manager to supervise duties.
Responsible for following and carrying out all workplace expectations and adhering to policies set out by clients.
Flexible to assist other related duties in swimming pool maintenance and operations as and when required and when delegated to do so.
Supervise the activities of all swimmers by enforcing rules and regulations.
To greet the visitors and guests coming to the pool area, always being pleasant and never rude or short tempered.
Warn swimmers of improper activities or hazards.
To rescue persons in distress or in danger of drowning when necessary and provide CPR and first aid to resuscitate victims.
To notify the safety officer of any accidents, rescues or any other problems that may occur.
To report to the Pools Manager regarding any equipment that may require repair.
