Metal Polisher -

Position Summary:

The Metal Polisher is responsible for finishing, smoothing, and polishing metal components to meet required surface standards. This role uses manual and powered polishing tools to remove imperfections, prepare surfaces, and achieve consistent, high-quality finishes for fabricated metal products.

Key Responsibilities

Perform polishing, buffing, grinding, and sanding on metal surfaces to achieve required finishes (brushed, satin, mirror, etc.). Use various tools such as grinders, polishing wheels, sanders, and abrasive pads. Inspect parts before and after polishing to identify scratches, defects, and surface inconsistencies. Remove weld marks, oxidation, burrs, and other imperfections. Follow technical drawings, specifications, and work instructions for finish requirements. Select the correct tools, abrasives, and compounds for each metal type and finish level. Ensure correct handling of stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, brass, or other metals. Maintain polishing equipment, replace consumables, and perform minor adjustments. Keep accurate records of completed work and report issues that may affect quality or production. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and follow all safety guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience in metal polishing, grinding, or surface finishing preferred. Strong knowledge of polishing processes, tools, compounds, and abrasives. Good understanding of surface finish requirements and basic quality checks. Ability to read and follow basic shop drawings or instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship. Good physical stamina and manual dexterity. Ability to work independently and as part of a fabrication team. Understanding of shop safety procedures and proper PPE use.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 20-50 lbs as needed. Standing and manual work for extended periods. Working in a workshop environment with noise, dust, and vibrating tools.

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,000.00 per month
