Summary:
To effectively manage the policy management functions and tasks , consistently meet SLA’s, maintain high quality levels and superior customer service, while overcoming obstacles such as large volumes of new business, groups to be renewed in January and new starts within the teams.
Main Responsibilities:
  • Support and advise direct reporting staff in their day to day organization of the PM function ensuring smooth, timely and error free processing of all renewals and inceptions within the PM function.
  • Monitor and ensure that daily and weekly SLA’s are being achieved and taking corrective action when necessary.
  • The aligning of sales volume, lives and PM activities with headcount requirements ensuring that SLA’s are maintained.
  • Lead, manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff through regular team and individual meetings. Carry out individual performance management in order to maintain and improve productivity, quality.
  • Identify, define and prioritize process improvement opportunities streamlining work and processes.
  • Ensure at all times that appropriate controls are in place to ensure adherence to agreed processes and procedures.
  • Introduction of appropriate metrics to measure client/broker satisfaction and track progress improvements and overall service efficiency.
  • Pro-actively monitor performance for third party providers ensuring that SLA’s are consistently being achieved
  • Identify and deal effectively with all emergent issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Production of various daily, weekly and monthly reports as and when required by management.
  • Work with department trainer regarding PM procedures ensuring that all process changes are constantly updated and are current. Ensure that PM is at all times fully compliant and in audit ready mode.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with brokers, clients, TPA’s, internal stakeholders and other departments. Attend client / broker meetings where required.
  • Lead, manage, develop and motivate direct reporting staff through regular 1-1 meetings. Promote and develop leadership styles, Behaviors and Technical Competencies.
  • Follow company Performance Management and Development policies.
  • Foster and maintain staff morale, and promote staff personal development.

    Minimum Requirements:
    • Hold a third level degree or appropriate professional qualification
    • Completion of or progression towards the Diploma in Private Medical Insurance and/or relevant underwriting qualification
    • At least 3 years operational experience in a similar environment.
    • Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
