Job Description

Ireland's national public health and social care provider, the Health Service Executive (HSE) are currently recruiting for Basic and Senior Grade Podiatrists for a number of permanent positions within the primary and acute sector on a nationwide basis across Ireland. The HSE is supported in this recruitment initiative by Cpl Healthcare. Podiatrists assess, diagnose and treat conditions that affect feet and/or lower legs. They can treat injuries as well as complications from ongoing chronic health issues such diabetes, cardiovascular disease and Musculoskeletal conditions. As a Senior podiatrist, you will be required to assist in service development as well as supervise and train junior staff. Candidates interested in the role must have:
  • A recognised qualification as a Podiatrist
  • Eligible to apply for registration as a Podiatrist with CORU (www.coru.ie), the Health & Social Care Professionals regulatory authority in Ireland
  • Senior Grade- A minimum of 3 years post graduate experience as a Podiatrist including a significant amount of experience working within a community and/or acute setting
Other requirements specific to the post:
  • Police clearance from any country lived or worked in for 6 months or more
  • Excellent assessment and intervention skills
  • Participate in an on-call rota
  • Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Flexibility in work practice
  • Excellent verbal and written English
  • Have access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role
The post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post which may be assigned to him/her from time to time and to contribute to the development of the post while in office.
