Job Description

Wood is currently looking for a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer to strengthen our PMC team in Abu Dhabi.

+ Executing assigned scopes of work.

+ Supporting and supervising task delegation to team.

+ Providing discipline support to the business.

+ Coaching and mentoring as delegated.

+ Supervision of Graduate Engineers. Provides input to the performance management of direct reports.

+ Manage and supervise direct reports.

+ Deputising for principal as required.

+ Supporting and supervising tasks delegated to direct reports.

+ Executing assigned personal objectives.

+ Management of third-party suppliers in the execution of Engineering delivery.

+ Carry out survey and answer site queries.

+ Review and check the work of design team.

+ Ensure work is completed on Schedule and within budget.

+ Assist in the preparation of CTR's and man-hour estimates.

+ Attend meetings as and when required.

+ Assist procurement and project engineering personnel in the procurement of equipment and materials.

+ Liaise with other disciplines on design, construction, fabrication and commissioning issues.

Subject Matter Expertise:

+ Demonstrate understanding of and work to discipline specific procedures.

+ Technically competent in own discipline and actively maintains own competence according to standards and pursues continuous professional development.

+ Provide discipline support to the business.

+ Ensure self-awareness of relevant regulatory framework, legislation changes, initiatives and industry technology developments and promote to direct reports.

+ Provide discipline input to scope definition and execution.

Minimum Qualifications

+ BSc / BEng with extensive relevant experience in Civil/Structural Engineering.

Minimum Experience

+ Minimum of 15 years relevant experience in the oil and gas/petrochemical industries

+ Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage.

+ Proficient in design of steel structures and foundation

+ Experience in brownfield jobs and FEED jobs

+ Experience in EPC and PMC jobs

+ Proficient in the use of structural analysis software STAAD Pro, Mathcad and MS-OFFICE
