Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented PMC Practice Lead to join our team! In this role you will get to be the regional leader and key point of contact and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Program Management technical Practice area considering both business development and project delivery. Additionally your responsibilities will focus on people, process and technology.
What You'll Be Doing:
Conduct major pursuit red reviews and president reviews on a regular basis, weekly/monthly.
Be the lead SME for major PMC strategic pursuits, helping to develop execution strategies for and alternative delivery strategies to Parsons mega pursuits and to the market in general.
Represent Parsons as an internationally recognized SME, including major Client and industry presentations and events as required, impact and thought leadership required.
Ongoing development of the Project Management Framework (PMF) for the consistent deployment and implementation of PMC and PMO projects in the EMEA region.
Lead and coordinate all L&D functional activity for PMC and Service Lines.
Oversees the xe2x80x98Fast Start mobilization approaches of the EMEA BU.
Ability to stand in, on rare occasion, for Program Director for short term.
Be the regional point of contact for that technical practice for both BD and Sectors. Responsible for reputation management and leadership of the Practice Area.
Be aware (number and capability) of the staff in region that align with the Practice this includes support an employee matrix mapping.
Support regional mobility of high potential staff in the Practice Area.
Support the Sectors Leads in developing the strategy and the growth or contraction of that Practice in their Geography.
Support all major PMC pursuit developments, red reviews and president reviews as required.
Be a technical leader and mentor where appropriate.
Lead the Practice to support external interaction for Marketing and Sales/BD.
Drive design and delivery process / procedure improvement and standardization across the region, including PMF, plus various pages and strategies for PMC.
Look at continual improvement of our processes and procedures associated with the Practice.
Ensure seamless integration of Practice processes with all elements, combined the adoption of new technology, innovation and alternative delivery approaches
Ensure that the technical teams in all geographical locations are aware of the current associated technologies.
Promote current and future technological trends within the Practice area.
Identify internal innovation and prompt the inclusion of these in daily activities for the Practice to drive continual improvements in efficiencies and profitability. Aware and prompt Parsons Technologies associated with the PMC Practice.
Provide leadership for technology initiatives applicable to the advancement of the PMC Practice.
Assist the Sectors in improving the project delivery of the existing projects by ensuring the People, process and technology reflect Parsons Best practice and that the PMO/ PMC projects are being delivered successfully.
Be part of a regional start-up team by fast starting key PMO/PMC projects within the region, to assure that they are set up correctly from the start and the Parsons processes are embedded in the DNA of the project.
Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution and assist the Business development team in securing the larger PMC and PMO projects within the region
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
A 4-year degree in Engineering or related technical/business field and at least 20+ years of related work experience is required.
Incumbent should have a broad general technical and business background, as well as previous very significant project management experience on similar or related large-scope project types.
Professional registrations are expected in at least one field, two or more, or at least one at Fellowship level, preferred to demonstrate technical excellence.
Proven international and regional experience of leading large (
$1 billion in Construction cost) PMC or PMO projects within MEA and beyond, with project experience of a range of different projects and the history of running a portfolio of PMC/PMO projects.
xe2x80x8bExperience of client-side management of PMO / PMC contracts is advantageous.
Experience of multiple different firms and the ability to bring industry xe2x80x98best practice essential.
Relocation to the job site may be required for short-term support.
Incumbent must meet Parsons project management certification requirements.
Proven ability to perform in a management capacity in both major programs and international operations environments.
Demonstrable thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations is also required.
In addition, candidates must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
Excellent written and oral communications (English) is essential.
