Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Lead Project Engineer to be based in Abu Dhabi city on ADNOC Offshore project.

Successful candidate would be responsible for below duties;
  • Responsible for providing the support on Project Management activities to the Project team throughout all phases of project execution on management matters related to the allocated portions of the Project scope
  • Responsible for delivery of all systems (equipment & facilities) from design to hand over meeting all Project objectives
  • Develops EPC Scope of Work and supports EPC tendering activities
  • Prepares gate deliverables in accordance with ADNOC Value Assurance Process (VAP)
  • Works in close co-ordination with Project Manager for the supervision of the Integrated Project Management Team to ensure that the project objectives are meet. Reports regularly to the Project Manager on Project status, critical issues and areas of concern that may affect performance targets and Project objectives
  • Ensures project compliance with HSE requirements, meeting HSE performance targets during all phases of the project and works with HSE to ensure that Contractors comply with Company HSE policies, procedures, rules & regulations during execution
  • Manages the Project Engineers team comprising of Project Engineers to ensure that they perform to their optimum potential, meet their objectives effectively and prioritizes work load
  • Stewards the activities of Contractor in liaison with the Project Engineers to ensure that the Project is executed in accordance with the Contract, Company\xe2\x80\x99s technical and contractual requirements
  • Monitors Contractor efforts in managing interfaces with other EPC Contractors, ADNOC Offshore Groups / Departments, other operating Companies and provides guidance as required
  • Contributes to the development and definition of project execution strategies, scope of work, schedule and budgetary cost estimates to ensure that the Project is properly planned, meets user requirements and overall execution plans
  • Monitors Project Team activities to ensure that contractor critical subcontracts are awarded and executed according to the project schedule, quality and cost
  • Provides support on Contract Administration duties to ensure that Consultants and Contractors are effectively and efficiently administered including monitoring of financial expenditure
  • Attends Weekly and Monthly Progress Review Meetings with Contractors and other meetings at Sites on a regular basis
  • Participates in Management meetings and disseminate information
  • Participates in Project Risk Assessments to ensure that risks to the Project are identified on time, mitigations are planned and properly managed
  • Ensures proper management of change. Assists in evaluation of Contractors\' claims, recommendations to accept/ reject/ negotiate and final Change Order submissions for approval in accordance with Management of Change Procedure
  • Ensures compliance with close-out procedures, submission of project as-built documentation, material reconciliation, close-out reports and documentation of lessons learnt
  • Interfaces with Consultants and Third Party Inspection Agencies for the effective execution of the Project
  • Coordination with all stakeholders to obtain the correct inputs, effective co-ordination and interface management
Skills / Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent
  • Good understanding of Project management elements and standards including Contract terms and conditions
  • 15 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the Oil and Gas Industry (Upstream) or other related industrial experience
  • At least 8-10 years in Project Management handling logically inter-related major projects
  • Prior experience of working with EPC Contractors / Operating Company / Engineering consultants
  • Good knowledge of engineering, fabrication, construction, planning, resource allocation, Contract management and administrative functions
  • Good knowledge of international codes and standards related to the oil and gas industry
  • Fluency in English with good communication skills
  • Computer literate
