Job Description

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC Lead Instrument and Control Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry to work as part of PMC team on ADNOC project. Successful candidate will be responsible to deliver below duties

+ Direct and supervise a team of relevant discipline engineers

+ Responsible for providing expertise and ensures the application of correct standards in all FEED / EPC deliverables in the design and development of projects associated with Oil and Gas production

+ Supervise the work of relevant discipline Engineers and Superintendents and ensure that quality and standards are maintained, and cost-effective solutions are adopted

+ Fully understands the COMPANY HSE policy, procedures, regulations and objectives as they relate to his area of responsibility

+ Ensures that work under his control is performed in a safe and environmentally sound manner

+ Design and check all Instrument and control work on project

+ Execute assigned work in accordance with the applicable Project Procedures, DDI and Standards, including Project Procedures on Safety and Quality Control, within the man-hour and cost budgets and the project schedule targets

+ Prepare instrument index

+ Develop data sheets, instrument sizing, and prepare material requisitions for all instrument items including Control Valves, Relief Valves, Flow elements, Level instruments, Temperature instruments, Analyzers and DCS / ESD / F&G systems

+ Manage Technical Bid Evaluation of all items

+ Review other discipline drawings such as Equipment datasheet

+ Guide the designers for the preparation of Instrumentation drawings and deliverables

+ Prepare and check all Instrument drawings / documents and ensure that the quality of design and drawings produced for enquiry and fabrication purposes is of satisfactory standard

+ Attend coordination meetings and engineering review meetings with supplier as required

+ Assist Procurement Department with the expediting of supplier documents

+ Review and approve supplier documents for Instrumentation

+ Ensure effective and efficient Inter-discipline coordination including coordination with client engineer

+ Review instrument aspects of package unit supplier's drawings

+ Bachelor Degree in Instrument or Control Engineering

+ More than 15 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry

+ Minimum of 5 years experience in PMC or / and direct client role

+ Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of instrument and control system design and analysis

+ Thorough awareness of international codes and standards

+ Familiar with the typical software packages that are used for instrument and control system design
