Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is currently recruiting for a PMC ICSS Specialist with extensive experience in the petrochemical industry.

Overview / Responsibilities Provide design support and management of MICC (Main Instrumentation and Controls Contractor) for the delivery of an ICSS encompassing all aspects of the facility automation systems (process control, safety/protective, electrical and utilities) Act as advisor to the Project for all aspects of control systems functionality, diagnostic, security, reliability, availability and operability Manages the development and deployment of Operational Technology aspects of the project Support the development of digitization of the asset managing project deliverables Support the Operations Assurance to deliver a fit for purpose asset to support the start up-stay up philosophy. Participating in audits as required Executing assigned scopes of work Participating in project LOPA, SIL and cyber security risk assessment workshops / reviews Providing sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline Co-ordinating with other disciplines during all stages of project through to operations Design input and approval of project control system standards (Hardware, Software, HMI) Review of design inputs to MICC to ensure quality and clarity of specification of ICSS requirements including input to the development of control schemes Alignment of MICC schedule with main project and EPC schedules Review and approval of ICSS architectural design Act as interface for integration of Package, Subsea and Pipeline equipment into an overall control system architecture Review and approval of Safety Instrumented System Design Review and approval of Fire & Gas Detection and Signalling System Design Review and approval of Electrical Control and Management System Design Development of detailed design requirements for Instrument Asset Management System Development of detailed design requirements for Alarm Management System Support for OT/IT Cyber Security activities and oversight of incorporation in the ICSS design Development of detailed design requirements for Network Management Systems (e.g. Domain management, AV deployment, traffic monitoring, back-up / recovery) Provide support for Alarm Rationalisation workshops and alarm design Liaison with EPC contract holders to resolve potential conflicting requirements Liaison with EPC contractors to ensure consistency and uniformity of design and implementation across multiple work scopes Review and approval of infrastructure sizing and availability calculations Participation in all ICSS FATs (templates, hardware, software / HMI, network, cyber security, interfaces with packages) Development of plans, procedures and templates for information data transfer between Client system and vendor packages Skills / Qualifications

Degree in Engineering or Science majoring in Electrical or Instrumentation and Control Engineering Minimum 10 years experience in oil and gas industry Considerable previous work experience working in a regulated control systems environment Deep understanding and experience executing large scale DCS deployments Deep understanding and experience of PLC and SCADA control systems Deep understanding and experience of Safety Instrumented Systems Deep understanding and experience of Fire & Gas Detection, Signalling and Fire Suppression Systems Understanding of electrical systems would be advantageous Previous experience working as, or with, a Main Automation Contractor / Main Instrumentation and Controls Contractor Considerable previous work experience developing and managing project schedules and execution workflows in a control systems context Strong understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control in a control systems context Self-motivated and able to clearly communicate with Client and contractors at all levels Good presentation skills Good written communication skills Strong computer literate, with advanced knowledge of all relevant engineering software tools, systems and tools Company Overview
