Studies building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and sequence of installations. Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from installation of pipes. Inspects the assembly and installation of valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass and lead, and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay and plastic. Inspects the installation and repairs of plumbing fixtures, such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers and water softeners.

Superintendent - Possesses all of the foreman skills, having verifiable minimum experience and/or holds an accepted certification, license and/or degree in a specific craft. Usually considered the most experienced, highest skilled professional in their respective field and possesses very good supervisory skills. Provides supervision for multiple craft crews. Requires no supervision.

As directed by management, may supervise employees or subcontractor personnel in accordance with the "General Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities" addendum.

Basic Job Requirements High school diploma / GED equivalent preferred. seven (7) years to ten (10) years related experience.

Requires the technical skills, job knowledge and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Must be a U.S. Citizen

Must have a Secret Security Clearance

Other Job Requirements Inspect and repair water tanks, water lines, and septic lines; plumbing, plumbing fixtures, and piping; and ancillary equipment supporting Water Systems on AASAB, Cargo City, and JSSD-K, including two (2) 500K gallon water tanks supplying water to AASAB and the Ultra-Violet Sanitation Systems at the DFAC.

Must have a Water Operator certification or equivalent, or work under direct supervision of a certified technician.

Position may be located in a wide variety of environments, from conventional indoor office workspace to project worksites with harsh, working and living conditions.

To ensure compliance with safety, health and security requirements in the contract, employee will possess the ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language at the intermediate level as necessary to perform assigned job functions.

Position requires the basic skills and physical ability necessary to perform assigned job functions.
