Job Summary:

The Plumbing Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of plumbing and water systems, with a special focus on Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), and Desalination Systems. The role involves ensuring system efficiency, regulatory compliance, and sustainable water management across industrial, commercial, and residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and oversee installation of plumbing, water supply, drainage, STP, ETP, and desalination systems. Prepare detailed design drawings, hydraulic calculations, schematics, and specifications. Coordinate with process engineers for integration of treatment plants (STP/ETP) with overall project utilities. Plan and design water recycling, reuse, and wastewater treatment systems to meet environmental regulations. Prepare and review technical documentation, BOQs, and material submittals for all plumbing and treatment systems. Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning of plumbing and water treatment systems. Conduct inspection and quality checks to ensure compliance with project standards and safety regulations. Troubleshoot system malfunctions, monitor performance, and recommend corrective actions. Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and electrical teams for seamless system integration. Support operation and maintenance teams with technical expertise and documentation. Stay updated with local authority requirements and international codes (IPC, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent). Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing and water treatment system design and supervision. Proven experience in design and operation of

STP, ETP, and Desalination systems

. Strong knowledge of piping systems, pumps, valves, water chemistry, and treatment processes. Proficiency in

AutoCAD

,

Revit (MEP)

, and design calculation software. Familiarity with

UAE or GCC water treatment standards

and local authority approvals. Excellent technical documentation, communication, and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification or training in water treatment technologies or environmental management. Experience in design-build (EPC) or large infrastructure projects. Knowledge of sustainable water solutions, recycling systems, and green building standards (LEED/BREEAM).

Working Conditions:

Office and site-based work environment depending on project stage. Requires regular site visits to monitor installation and commissioning activities. Working hours as per project schedule and company policy.
