The Plumbing Draftsman will produce detailed technical drawings and layouts for plumbing and drainage systems, translating engineering requirements into clear shop and coordination drawings for construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare 2D/3D plumbing and drainage system drawings (water supply, sanitary, fire-fighting) using CAD/BIM software.
Review architectural/structural plans and coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architectural) to ensure clash-free design.
Ensure compliance with relevant plumbing/MEP codes, standards and local authority requirements.
Update and revise drawings based on site feedback, consultant comments or design changes.
Maintain drawing logs, revision control and assist with as-built drawings for project handover.
Qualifications & Skills:
Diploma, ITI or Certificate in Mechanical/Plumbing Drafting or related field.
Several years' experience in MEP/plumbing drafting using AutoCAD and preferably Revit or BIM tools.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, materials, fittings and relevant codes.
Attention to detail, good communication skills, ability to read/interpret construction drawings.
Working Conditions:
Office-based drafting work with occasional site visits to verify conditions or assist field teams.
May require working under project deadlines with coordination between multiple teams.
